Dr Kristin Brown
Dr Kristin Brown is a team leader in the Cancer Therapeutics Program at the Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre and holds a joint appointment in the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology at the University of Melbourne. The Brown lab investigates mechanisms that drive therapy resistance in breast cancer, with particular focus on the contribution of metabolic reprogramming to resistance. This knowledge is applied to the pre-clinical development of more effective interventions for breast cancer therapy. The Brown lab is also interested in identifying the metabolic vulnerabilities of cancer cells and developing strategies to exploit these vulnerabilities for therapeutic gain.
